As part of its strategy to expand its geographical reach in all governorates, QNB Egypt inaugurated its branch in New Alamein City in an official ceremony, reaffirming the its commitment to supporting economic development in this promising region of North Coast and ensuring its presence as a leading bank in the Egyptian banking sector that is keen to meet the financial needs of its customers across the country.
The opening ceremony was attended by General Khaled Shuaib – Governor of Matrouh, Mr. Mohamed Bedeir – CEO of QNB Egypt, General Hatem Haddad, Director of Matrouh Security, and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim – Head of New Alamein City Authority.
Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, explained that this comes within the framework of the state's direction to make New Alamein City comfortable throughout the year and not just a summer city , by providing various services, including: universities, international schools, commercial centers, banking services, and others to serve residents and visitors to the city, pointing out that New Alamein City is the first coastal city in the North Coast region, and many of the Projects.
The Minister added that the strategic plan for the urban development of the Egyptian City, which was prepared by the Ministry of Housing in cooperation with the concerned authorities, identified many development areas, which provide many investment opportunities, especially in the northwest coast region, which has become a global tourist destination, which attracted tourists from more than 100 nationalities during the last summer season, which provides many investment opportunities, especially for the establishment of rooms and hotel units to accommodate the volume of tourists around the world.
General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, congratulated the Management of QNB Egypt on the opening of its new branch in New Alamein City amid its giant urban edifices with the minds and arms of the people of Egypt as one of the cities of the fourth generation, and as an integrated and attractive city for residents and investments. during his inspection of the sections of the new bank branch in New Alamein City, which includes the highest level of equipment, keeping pace with the developments of New Alamein City. In line with the digital transformation technology witnessed by all governorates of Egypt and its administrative sectors, to improve the services provided to citizens and facilitate access to them.
The Governor pointed out that the opening of the branch will facilitate procedures and banking services for citizens, companies and other amenities.
He pointed out that this comes within the efforts of the country and Matrouh Governorate to develop and expand the scope of providing various services in all sectors to facilitate access to the service for citizens and facilitate access to it.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohamed Bedeir, CEO of QNB Egypt, said: "The opening of the new branch in El Alamein reflects the bank's expansion plan to cover the financial needs of customers in various governorates, in support of the Central Bank of Egypt's directions to enhance financial inclusion.
